Lake City Downtown Improvement & Revitalization Team
(DIRT) is dedicated to preserving and enhancing Lake City's
downtown commercial district.
As an accredited Colorado Main Street community, Lake City
DIRT follows a four-point approach to revitalization - economic
restructuring, design, organization, and promotion.

The Design Committee works to improve historic Lake City through
landscaping, historic preservation, boardwalk construction, beautification
projects, and sponsorship of the Lake City Community Youth Corps. Find

The Economic Restructuring Committee works to improve the local business
climate through a revolving loan program, workshops for business owners,
studies and surveys. Read the Economic Feasibility Study, sign up for

The Organization Committee organizes volunteers, recognition events,
coordinates grant-writing & DIRT fund-raising activities such as product
sales and special events. Purchase ornaments, consider virtual volunteer

The Promotion Committee sponsors promotional events and develops
marketing materials to encourage folks to visit Historic Lake City. Find out

All four committees work in partnership with each other and other
community organizations to effectively revitalize and improve our
community.
