There are many activities for residents and visitors in Hinsdale County that are weather- and snow-dependent. As the temperatures get colder and the leaves keep falling, keep Lake City in mind for a getaway.
The Town of Lake City runs an Ice Climbing Wall and a Downtown Ice Skating Rink, as well as the Lake City Ski Hill for downhill skiing and snowboarding (including inexpensive rental equipment). The Lake City / Continental Divide Snowmobile Club grooms one hundred miles of multi-use trails over the winter months.
