August is Lake City History Month

LAKE CITY, COLO., (July 7, 2019):   The annual monthlong celebration of Lake City’s heritage begins August 1st and features cemetery tours, ghost tours, the Stick Horse Show, and more!  A calendar of events is attached. 

Celebrate Colorado Day (August 1st) with the Second Annual Pub Crawl fundraiser for the Hinsdale County Historical Society.  The Pub Crawl begins at 3 p.m. at the Museum and stops at three local watering holes.  $40 tickets include a commemorative beer mug.

Sandbags and Flowers

sandbags flowersThanks to the overwhelming assistance from the State of Colorado and other partners, Lake City is prepared for potential flooding after an unprecedented avalanche cycle.  Sandbags and hanging baskets of flowers were delivered to Main Street businesses on the same day!  The air temperatures are cooperating with a steady run-off and there is no imminent threat.  Come and enjoy Lake City today! 

2019 Wine & Music Posters For Sale

Recording / Music Studio Feasibility Study

jeff Heaton Lake City DIRT is working to increase access to the arts and outdoor recreation in our community. Coffee & Conversation to be held Thursday, April 25, 2019

Please join us for the next Coffee & Conversation at the Confluence at 9:00 a.m. on April 25th.  Events are informal, with coffee sponsored by Lake City DIRT.

We will be following up with emergency recovery assistance opportunities and determining consistent marketing for the upcoming season.  Please come and brainstorm about resident and tourist messaging and how to access state assistance.
